AMS-02

Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer also called AMS-02, is designed to search for new types of particles (antimatter, dark matter, strange matter) via the high-precision measurement of the composition of cosmic rays. Its measurements will help scientists understand the basic laws of the formation of the universe and may provide evidence for the existence of types of matter that can not reveal or produce in the laboratory such as dark matter and antimatter nuclear. The international collaboration includes 56 institutions from 16 countries, with a particularly important contribution of Europe.
